Carlos Quiroz
He started his early studies with Maestro Casimiro Campos, in 1996 he entered to the Peruvian’s National Conservatory. In 1998 he started his studies in the Tatui’s Conservatory in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with Mtro. Gilberto Gagliardi and at the same time received classes with the Maestro Wagner Polistchuk.
He was a participant in the II Latin American Trombone Meeting, XVII Curitiba Music Office, Soltera Island Festival, Campos do Jordão Winter Festival (1998-2000, 2002 and 2003), V International Tuba Trombone and Euphonium Festival of Muro de Alcoy Alicante-Spain and the II International Music Festival Vila de L´Olleria Valencia-Spain.
He played in the Brazilian Wind Orchestra, Brass Band Brasil Metal, São Paulo’s Symphony Orchestra, guest musician of the São Paulo State Band, Sound Brass Quintet. Kallpa Brass Brass Ensemble, Romanza Orchestra, Pro-Lírica Orchestra, “Ciudad de los Reyes” Orchestra, Lima’s University Philharmonic Orchestra, Founder of the Brass Ensemble of Lima and the “Trombomania” Trombone Ensemble.
As a soloist he has performed with the Tatuí’s Conservatory Band, the National Symphony Orchestra, the National Music’s University Symphony Band, the Trujillo’s Symphony Orchestra, the Piura’s Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the Cusco’s Symphony Orchestra, and the “Cartagena de Indias” Symphony Orchestra, Colombia.
He has been a speaker at the III National Meeting of Arequipa’s Bronzes and the VII Trujillo’s Wind Festival and teacher in the Trombones and Tubas “Trombonanza”, Santa Fe, Argentina and Campinas Brazil, Guest Teacher at the “Instrumental Clinic” in Cartagena de Indias Colombia, Trombone Workshops in the cities of Arequipa, Barranca, Cajamarca, Chepen, Cusco, Eten, Huánuco, Huaraz, Ica, Juliaca, Lima, Puno, Trujillo. Trombone Professor at the Peruvian Catholic University. Speaker at the “Interpretation Techniques Workshop” for the Santa Cruz de la Sierra Orchestra.
He was a Guest Professor at the Lima’s 2021 International Trombone Festival “Trombones del Bicentenario”.
Currently he serves as a trombone’s professor at the Music’s National University, Principal Trombone of the National Symphony Orchestra, Trombone Instructor of the “Sinfonia por el Perú” Youth Orchestra, Director and Founder of the Specialization Course for Euphonium, Trombone and Tuba “Peru Low Brass”.
