Joel Pugh
Joel Pugh teaches low brass at the University of North Dakota. He is the founder/director of the UND Trombone ensembles. He performs as principal Trombone in the Grand Forks Symphony, is a member of the International Brass Quintet and Prairie Trombone Quartet.
He recently went to Shanghai, China with University of North Dakota Trombone Quartet, leading residencies at two universities. Additionally, he has presented solo recitals at numerous universities, including the Ohio State University, Louisiana State University, the University of Minnesota Southern Mississippi University, McNeese State University, the University of Wisconsin, Eau-Claire, South Dakota State University and Brandon University.
Dr. Pugh has presented at the International Trombone Festival and numerous Music Education Conferences. He teaches at the International Music Camp on the North Dakota/Manitoba border.
Pugh holds degrees from Michigan State University, Bowling Green State University and Ithaca College.
